Theme Options

The Sidewalk theme provides plenty of options divided into sections. In the list below, we will just give you some good overviews. Almost every specific option is described inline in the Theme Options admin panel.

theme_options

Branding

These are options to personalize the theme which means uploading your logo, favicon, etc…

Image Options

Here you can set up additional image sizes we create for the theme.

Header Styling

Style and manage your header/navigation area, upload your logo, etc…

Content Styling

Style your main content area (body, posts, pages, etc…).

Footer Styling

Style and management options for your footer/copyright area.

Highlight Posts

Here you can manage your highlight posts.

Post Layouts

These are global options for all layouts you can use inside this theme.

Home Page

This options will apply to your Home Page template.

Single Post Template

These are options which will apply to your single post templates.

Page Template

These are default options for your pages.

Category Template

These are options which will apply to your category archives.

Tag Template

These are options which will apply to your tag archives.

Author Template

These are options which will apply to your author archives.

Search Template

These are options which will apply to your search results page.

Archive Templates

Options for other archives on the website, such as date archive, etc…

Typography

Here you can customize your fonts as well as some text options.

General

Here you can find some minor options which apply to your website globally.

Translation

Easy to use translation panel. Here you can quickly change or translate all the text which displays on the front-end of the theme.

Additional Code

For advanced users, here you can paste additional JavaScript code to modify default theme styling.

Import/Export

A nice tool that you can use to save and backup all your theme options. It can be very useful if you want to copy and import your option settings to another site which is usinthe g same theme, i.e when moving your site from localhost to live server.
