Before we go into setting your homepage, please make sure that you checked the topic about gallery setup. Since this is a photography theme, you probably want to use one of the gallery pages as your home page.
Basically, you can set any page to be your home page, no matter if it’s Galleries page template, Albums page template or a default page. Just go to Settings -> Reading and choose the desired page under “static page” option, as shown in the image below.
