Pinhole comes with several plugins that will extend the theme functionality. They are not required but we warmly recommend using them if you want to make the most of the theme features.
All the plugins are hosted on the official WordPress repository, which means they are 100% free and you can use it in any other theme as well. Go to Appearance -> Pinhole Plugins to install and activate recommended plugins with a single click.
Watch the process in this short video:
Redux framework
This plugin activates the entire theme options panel, so it is highly recommended to use it in order to be able to manage the theme options.
Contact form 7
This plugin is one of the most popular and easiest to use WordPress contact plugins. You can use it to create simple or complex contact forms with many powerful settings and features.
Envato Market
This is the official plugin made by Envato (ThemeForest) and its main purpose is to connect your website with your ThemeForest profile. Once you go through the authorization process you will be able to update our theme with a single click with every new version release.
Force regenerate thumbnails
This plugin will help you a lot when you switch to a new WordPress theme on a website that already has some images uploaded. It is commonly used when you switch the themes. You just need to run this plugin once and it will (re)generate all your uploaded image sizes to match your new theme layout.
That way your theme will use proper and optimized image sizes and will improve website performance significantly.
Simple Page Ordering
This is a lightweight but very handy plugin that helps you to easily reorder and organize your pages with “drag and drop” on the Pages screen in your admin panel. It may help a lot with gallery management which we will explain in more detail in later topics.
Meks time ago
With this plugin, you can automatically display your post dates in “time ago” format like 1 hour ago, 2 weeks ago, etc…
Other plugins (Meks Plugins)
Other plugins’ features and functionality are described in more detail in Shortcodes and Widgets sections of this documentation.
