Actually, you can use any size you want, it depends of your taste. We can only suggest that image should be at least 1920px wide so it looks good on big monitor screens.
Image height is up to you, and it depends od the text/content you have over the image. For example, size of subheader image on our demo website is 1920x770px because we like how it fits our welcome text.
